Families of the Vang Vieng alcohol poisoning need to understand the history of SE Asia and the hardships the people there have endured. The US dropped more bombs in Laos during the Vietnam War than the total dropped by the U.S. during WW2. Laotian people have never done anything to the Americans or Australians and still live in horrible conditions to this day because most of the bombs dropped by the US failed to explode on impact, leaving Laos contaminated with millions of unexploded ordnance (UXO), which continues to kill and injure civilians today.
