I was initially quite encouraged by Pauline Hanson’s early speech about creating a single, unified culture for Australia. Yet to this day, she has never shown us a single concrete example of what this culture actually looks like: no shared values, no vision, no substance. Instead, she has reverted to the same tired racist stereotypes, painting migrant communities as criminals and pests who don’t belong. The only monoculture on display here is a total lack of social awareness the same culture, in fact, that produced witless slurs like “two Wongs don’t make a White” (two Wrongs don’t make a Right)
